Just how long...

...will a five gallon drum of Charlie's Soap Laundry Powder last?

We're about to find out. The first load was started last night. There are supposed to be 1280 loads in the bucket. I wonder how long it will take us to do that many.

I average a load a day. So 1280 divided by 365 days per year would be ~3.5 years. I can't imagine it lasting that long though. So, I'm going to say 15 months because (1) you have more people and some kids that out of toddler-sized clothes and (2) because I simply can't imagine it lasting 3 and a half years.

It'll last you half of what they say:) Just a guess!

Do you use Charlie's for diapers? How do you like it? I use Country Save right now for diapers but it's almost gone and I have been thinking about switching to Charlie's.

Ours is somewhere between 20-24 months. I can't remember when we got it. However, I've given some baggies of it away, so I don't know. It is nice to have it to handy!

For you, I think it will depend on how long each girl is in diapers...and if any more little ones come into the family. :)

Yes, I use Charlie's Soap for diapers. It works fine. I've only used two other kinds, Bumgenius kind from Cotton Babies and All Free and Clear that Mike picked up because we ran out of Charlie's. I haven't noticed a difference between any of them. I still need to use vinegar, tea tree oil, and occasionally bleach to deal with the stinkies. Because I don't have time for 5-7 washes to strip my diapers. ;)

We finally went to the 5 gallon bucket because Charlie's switched their smalled bags over to plastic buckets. My favorite thing about Charlie's was the small amount used and the small amount of packaging.

This was the deal I scored on our bucket but I see they are out of stock now.

Yes, www.CharlieSoapForYou.com is out of stock on the 5 gallon buckets, but now has <a href="http://www.charliesoapforyou.com>Charlie's Soap</a> 4 gallon buckets for $86.99. That comes out to about 8 cents per load!
