Nickname's

I realized that I forgot to let you all weigh on the nickname issue that I posted about on Facebook. I am paranoid about mis-typing Christiana's name so I've been trying to decide on a nickname. Here are the choices so far:

Christi (My sister)

Tia

Tiana

Tina (My neighbor and aunt)

Iana (ee AH nah)

Ana (AH na)

My favorite is Iana but it looks like Lana in some fonts. Mike's favorite is Ana. What's yours?

I still like Bufa (buff-a), but I vote for Iana, but then I'm partial to that name : )

I vote for Iana. I agree that it looks like Lana in some fonts, but it's a pretty nickname to go along wiht a pretty name. And a pretty girl!

I'm big on full names so Christina is my choice. I think it's a lovely name.

I like "Iana" and "Tiana" because their rhythm is so similar to "Amanda."

Nicknames, though, (at least at our house) tend to grow as opposed to being chosen. ;) It will be fun to see who she ends up being!

I like Iana. . . but as mentioned above--they are most likely grown and not chosen. Our kids still don't have any nicknames by us. . . but relatives have them--it is funny to hear them!

I think she will end up with a nick name on her own.. My first born Aria is "Bean", my second Autumn, is "Goon" and Aella is "Belle" or "Bub"!! LOL!! Of course most of the time, their "real" name is used. My opinion in the poll, I like Ana. I almost used that name for one of my girls :)

I'm a fan of full names too. Christiana is a beautiful name. :)

I would wait and see what she calls herself when she starts talking. I doubt she'll be able to say Christiana right away. Will it be Tiana, Ana, Iana, etc. etc.? How fun!

But perhaps you were only looking for an Internet nickname? If that's the case, my favorite of those is Tiana.

She looks like a Tiana to me. Mike could shorten it to Ana...for a special 'Daddy' name.
