Eight Months

At eight months, Amanda is 17 lbs. and 26 in. She is very lively and busy. She crawls all over the house chasing people and the cat. She likes to walk when you hold her hands but she's still very wobbly. The boys think she's very funny. She recently learned to cluck her tongue. She makes a variety of sounds and when she's complaining she uses "eeee".
She has really fallen in love with her daddy and she gets very excited when he gets home. She will crawl to the gate at the top of the stairs and wait for him. Amanda can pull herself to stand on the gate, her crib rails and some chairs. Sometimes, instead of taking a nap she will pull herself to stand and bang on the wall.
She has taken an interest in eating and has tried bananas, avocados, pears, potatoes, squash and yogurt. She likes to drink from a cup, but not a sippy cup. She still takes 6 oz. of formula or breastmilk 5 times a day in the nurser. I'm able to pump about 6 oz. a day.
She goes to bed around 7 at night and sleeps until about 6:30 in the morning. Mike prefers to wake her up before he goes to work. He likes to get in his morning snuggle. Amanda is always delighted to see him. She still takes three naps during the day.

What a fun update. And you take such yummy photos, Katie (I know part of it is because Amanda's so sweet-faced, but really, a lot of it's you). Good job!
