Yesterday Amanda finally accomplished the back-to-belly rollover! We were so excited for her. She no longer stays on the blanket I've laid on the floor for her. She rolls and crawls on and off at will. We will now have to be very attentive to keeping the floor picked up and keeping the doors and gate closed. It's so much fun and the boys enjoy watching her try so hard to reach and crawl toward her toys. She makes them laugh. She makes us all laugh. Soon we'll post a video so you can laugh, too.
"Potty training" is going well. My mom was here on Monday and witnessed me taking her to the potty and then hearing Amanda go. She was impressed. Mike is always amazed when I take her in there and she goes, too.
Nursing is going fine. Amanda nurses with the supplementor and won't nurse without it. She will cheerfully take a bottle on occasion. She will reach for it and hold it. I'm still pumping after she lays down for naps and before she wakes in the morning. I'm pumping close to six ounces a day. I happy to be providing her with some fresh milk every day.
Amanda is a very good sleeper. She still goes to sleep about an hour after waking up. I wrap her up nice in snug in her blankets and she goes right to sleep. We had some challenges last month when she realized she could roll over. Then she would cry because she didn't want to sleep on her back. We let her learn that she still had to be in bed even if she was rolled over and eventually she became comfortable with sleeping in any position. We still wake her up to nurse every three hours during the day. At night she will go to bed for the night between 8 and 10 pm. Last night she went to bed at 8 pm, fussed a couple of times in the middle of the night, maybe 11 pm and 1 pm, but she fell back asleep. Then I finally woke her up at 8:30 am. Hopefully, she was just tired from all her exercise yesterday and she's not getting sick. I'm glad she is such a well-rested, happy baby.
